Fire Protection | St. Clair College

This course is designed to provide occupational safety and health representatives with a widespread knowledge of fire protection, including the prevention, detection and suppression of fire. Instruction is given as to general compliance with federal, provincial and municipal regulations relating to fire protection. Specific to topics include: the chemistry and physics of fire, fire protection in building design and construction, fire prevention, fire inspections, fire detection and suppression equipment, fire department operations, fire drills, fire safety plans, evacuation procures, fire emergency organizations, and other information related to life safety and property protection from fire.
