This course covers advanced content in statics, dynamics and strength of materials. Topics include friction, linear and angular motion, inertia, work, energy and power, momentum, stress, shear force and bending moment diagrams, torsion, and basic fluid mechanics principles. Problem solving is based in a systematic approach utilizing a logical progression with a focus on problem set-up, identification of the variables, application of appropriate formulas and determination of the correct answers.
