Students will follow a straightforward, practical approach to bookkeeping and analysis of financial records specific to tourism operations. Learning standard accounting and tourism specific financial terminology provides the foundation needed to analyze various types of reports. It allows students to understand the important role reports play in a successful travel operation. Students will learn to prepare daily and weekly reports and management reports for travel operations. Learners will compile and complete a variety of client files paying particular attention to administrative legalities, accounting principles and reporting instruments.
